Rat Problem

Just a few hour after planting the seed in the tray, all my seed was attacked by rats. I totally forgot about our rats problem that has been rampant here.

Next morning, I find myself a big piece of chicken wire and started to make a cage for the seeding tray. Just a simple one because I just want to keep the rats out from reaching the seed.

For the moment, I haven't yet take a picture of it but I will post it up when I can get a chance getting home early.

My first attempt

This will be my first attempt and I want this to be documented so I decided to start this blog to have all of it recorded. Just hope this one will be a good start.

I've been thinking to start this little project since my last visit to Lahad Datu and saw the way they planting the chili and I know the market is still big for a small entrepreneur like me to join in. Especially I'm a bumiputera (local) :P

After few businesses that fail but I rather say "Not at the right time", I try to start small and try to spend as little as I can so that I can minimized my outgoing money.

So after downloading some info from the internet, today, I went to Damai, Luyang and get my supply.

Medium RM10 for three packet.

Seed RM2 per packet.
Seeding tray RM12.50 each. I got it for RM8 only.

The picture says it all.

Grand Total for today expenses RM26.

I just finished preparing the seeding tray and already done all the needed work. No picture during the job since I single handedly do all of it and my hands are dirty to hold my phone (used as my primary camera).

I recommend anyone who try to handle chili seed to use plastic hand glove since the seed can make your hand spicy. try not to rub your eyes while doing it.

Here is where I got my reference.
